upgraded valvetrain with stock cams
This may seem like a dumb question, but I just want to verify that this is OK.
I'm rebuilding my head with Omnipower dual valve springs, valves and Ti retainers, but for money reasons, I may not be able to get my cams (BC spec III+) and cam gears for a couple more months. Logically, it seems that weaksauce cams would be OK with more capable valvetrain, but I just want to make sure. Its fine to put my B16A cams back in for the time being, correct?
TIA

it will be fine, but you can actually lose a bit of power this way. the springs are stiffer and create more drag on the whole valve train. without adding bigger cams to offset the drag you will actually see a slight decrease in power and responsiveness. nothing you will be able to feel most likely, however.
