Default Wattage

Ok, I admit, I'm a bit new at the Car Audio scene. How do I know exactly what wattage amp to get? I've got 2 10" 1200W (330RMS) subs, how many watts should the amp have?
thanks

Look at what the wattage is (RMS) per channel on the potential amp. If you're just going to run the sub's off the amp you might as well get a mono amp. http://www.crutchfield.com is a great resource for researching various amps.

Also, you might have more luck posting this in the Audio/Video/Security part of the forum.

You must also know at what impedance both the amp and the speakers are being rated at, I am an ald guy and everything was at 8 ohms when I was a young buck. The more bass you are pounding the more wattage you will need, your amp will clip before the rest of the sounds come out. You understand a triaxle or three way speaker, hi mid and bass, the more you split up the sounds the better the quality of sound, this repuires seperate speakers of a certain size to match your car and crossovers to split it all up, save your pennies.
