intake and rpms?
ok I installed my aem short am intake and now instead of being af 3000 rpm at 100kmh its at 2600rpm, great deal its gonna save on gas but is that normal? my friend has a 2002 civic and he got an intake and exacaust and the rpms didnt change?
hmm well when I bought the car last month I changed the air filter, there was like 3 pipes leading into the stock box maybe there clogged or somthing. do those rpms sound normal tho?

uhh yeah, the rpms did drop, its been at 3000rpm since I bought the car last month at 100kmh on the dot, now at 100kmh its 2600rpm on the dot, what is the rpms spos to be?
this is not possible by merely changing the intake...the gears in your transmission are what dictate the ratio between your engine speed and vehicle speed in any given gear...perhaps your overdrive was not working if you have an automatic transmission car and somehow now it is...however the intake will not change your gearing...
