My parents' car got trashed by a jackass in a stolen taxi a month or two ago, so they're in the market for a "new" one and I'm helping them out finding a replacement. We're going to look at a used '96 DX hatch tomorrow. Is there anything in particular we should be on the lookout for? I'll go over the usual stuff you'd go over with any used car but I was wondering if these cars have anything specific to be careful of.

Check under the cover in the back of the hatch where the spare tire is. EK hatchs are notorious for haveing water leak in around the taillights. Its not a big deal a set of new taillight gaskets will do the trick, but just check for rust or standing water. Thas about the only thing I can think of right now.
