how much would it cost to swap the type R motor from the jap. spec. ep3 into the si?

 

I was quoted total of $7000+7500 (K20A, tranny, ecu, etc...) complete with installation. But it definitely could be lower, you just have to know the right people..

Yes is a 6 speed close ratio with LSD. Great tranny in my opinion. I would personally go k20a2 built it would be cheaper to go that route. Plus the compression isn't has high so you don't have to worry about running 93 or 94 octane.

The tranny is golden, smoother, closer, 6 speed, yes the helical lsd, lighter flywheel, and a 4.76 fd.

I've heard a tuned K20A can run with out any knock on 92 octane.
