Are 92-93 7 spokes heavier than 94-96 sawblades?
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a weight difference between the two models? If so, by how much?
I am looking for the better track wheel, while staying OEM.
Thanks,
Andy

yes, I believe the 92-93 are heavier...
92-93 are about 19-20lbs...
94-96 saws are ~16-17lbs...
let me see if I can find a link

I goofed a little
93 listed at 22.5lbs
95-96 listed at 17lbs
I wonder how much the SE wheels weigh though?

Also, it seems the weight of R-compounds can differ by a few pounds a tire depending on side-wall strength. Last month's issue (the lates issue as of ~7/15/05)) of GRM had a nice write-up camparing the latest hipo street tires as well as R-compounds.

Andy, I've been running the stock 94-96 saw blades as track wheels with 225-45-15 Hoosiers with zero problems (even with a 1.5" drop on GC's)- they're cheap & reliable as hell!

Awesome, so no rubbing problems with the 225's?
