currently my B16/ef has dc sports header w/ stock cat and exhaust. the stock cat and exhaust are in GOOD SHAPE

im trying to decide if it is worth replacing them for performance reasons only, the consensus on here is yes. my questions

1. what diameter is the stock ef cat?

2. are catco bolt-in cats "high flow"? example

3. 2.25 diamter cat and 2.25 diameter pipe, good size? if i go crush bent should i get 2.5?

4. what does it cost to have flanges welded on a cat? trying to price universal cat versus bolt in

5. finally...should i get a cat w/ an 02 bung or not? i have pr3 ecu w/ the output from one o2 sensor wired to the two ecu input wires. would it be benifical to put another 02 sensor in?

2.those are stock replacement cats, so they will basically be stock diameter.
3.try to get around 60mm or 2.5 inch. I'm more of a mandrel bend person.
4. $60 if they have to supply parts
5. no, not heated, too far away will have a wrong signal. look into keeping the one sensor, or a header with two o2 bungs.

 

will a 2.5 inch cat bolt to the 2.25 inch collector?

ah the link i had been looking at for the cats i thought was 2.25inch bolt in cats but i guess not, is there such a thing from catco?

would it be possible to just buy a 2.5 inch cat universal cat w/o flanges and have the muffler shop deal with that when they put it together? or would taht get expensive?
