Hey guys, just like the topic says, I was wondering if anyone makes a side/top post battery that fits our cars. I want to put all of my stereo stuff in this car and I have always liked using a battery with 4 posts just for convenience reasons. Everytime I am at a shop I look but have never seen one the same size as our batteries. Thanks

 

The optima redtop I have in my car has the cables connected on the side, and it has posts on the top which are unused

 

I didn't think optima made a group 51 battery in a red top. I thought they only made a yellow top. You probably have a 34/78(if memory serves me) which is a typical GM battery.

 

Yeah, I didn't think an Optima Red Top would fit. Are you sure thats what you have? If so I'll go buy one. I used the yellow top in my last car and I loved it. Well thanks for the info.

a couple things i notice here.... that isn't a 51 series battery... and it's mounted in the trunk... and the only 51 series battery optima makes is a yellow top...
