i am planning on turbocharging my ls but have some questions before i go any further. i have searched for topics relating to my questions but cannot seem to find any useful information.

first question

in the state i live in they are currently doing obdII emission testing. if i converted to obdI would that be an automatic fail or is there anyway around this?

second question

can anyone recommend a good obdII piggy back computer management program to aid in tuning at dyno? I've thought about e-manage but always hear mixed results and im wondering whats available that is more readily used at most shops capable of dynotuning.

if anyone can steer me in the right direction i would really appreciate it. thanks!

Most likely...they generally tap into your ecu at the same time...at least from my experience

 

That's all our testing consist of, checking the ecu to see if you've thrown a cel. If your obdI or obd0 there's no emissions testing, period. I've thought really hard about just picking up a crx and selling the ls.
