B18C5 2.0L Build Pistons, Suggestions please
In the works of building a 12.5:1 compression 2.0L using B18C5 block and rotating assy. Block to be sleeved and bored to 85mm, crank to be balanced, and possibly stock rods or aftermarket.
For example, JE pistons, they don't have a 85mm piston listed for the B18C, but have one for the B16A and B20. Would I be using the pistons for the B20?
The JE website states that if I use B18C crank and B16A head (PR3/Type R head) compression will be .2 lower. So with the B20 pistons, it will be 12.3:1.
What other pistons are recommended, CP, Coasworth, Arias, SRP, etc.
Just wanted to make sure the proper piston to order. Not sure if the wrist pin location is the same between B16A and B20 pistons.
