Default DCRH with a stock exhaust

Hey everyone I was wondering if I instaled a DCRH with the stock exhaust that would be bottle-necking it right? The gains won't be as great correct?

stock exhaust is chambered.

you want a straight flow of air from the header all the way through the muffler...

hope that answers your question.

You will definatly get noticable gains as the RH would remove the cat and that in itself is a large bottleneck. I assume you are talking about an RSX-S and if that is the case the exhaust on the 02-04 is fairly free flowing for basic mods and the 05's is even less restrictive.

I guess to directly answer your question the gains might not be as much but I wouldnt call your exhaust a bottleneck.

my friend ran 13.87 w/ i/rh and stock 05-S exhaust. If you have 05, you'll be fine with stock exhaust. If you have 03-04 I'd suggest getting a less restrictive one.
