registering a non-operable vehicle?
has anyone ever registered a non-operable vehicle in california? if so....did u have to go through any inspections before the dmv would register you? thanks.

Check the DMV website about it. The only car that I have done that with is my 74 CJ5 Jeep, I waited until it would not have to be smogged or anything before I got current tags for it. I don't think you will have to do much, just a smog check, I assume.
i checked the dmv website. all they mention is previously salvaged, junked, or out-of-state cars as needing a vin inspection.
from what im seeing....all you would need is a smog.
