Default Can I use a large oil cooler on my car?

I have a oil cooler that is for a v8 motor. I noticed they normaly sell much smaller oil coolers for the imports. Any reason why this one wouldn't work?

Is it harder for the pump to push the oil thru the larger oil cooler or something?
