Default Recare SRD Type R style seats. replicas

Im trying to find a reveiw, some testimonials, or comments on these seats.
I know they're a cheap knock off. But does anyone have some actual experience with them.
They're dirt cheap and very tempting. http://www2.robearracing.com/pd_nrg_tr.cfm

Only real concern is safety. and overall quality. good close up pictures would be nice if you have them.

I know you want hands on experience so i can't comment on those specific ones, but i've sat in some arospeed recaro knock offs and i couldnt imagine driving for more than 30 minutes in those, after like 5 minutes you just feel awkward,

the foam or whatever material it is that they use to make them is very cheap and the sueade material is pretty convincing but begins to wear off after months of use kind of like where your thighs and shoulders rub with the seat.

If i were you use the money you'd be spending on this pair of seats and buy ONE good seat like the memory fab carbon fiber bucket seats or some other nice seat like recaro speeds. then just save up eventually for the passenger, but dont waste the money on knock offs if your gonna buy the real ones eventually

the speeds are nice (below) but with an almost $600 price tag i can hardly justify spending that much. I was planning on just getting one seat anyway. I know my girlfriend wouldnt wanna sit in one of these things every time. beside its more for me and not the passanger.

Still considering the Knock off. i would just really love to try one out first. [b]Also concerned with the safety.

Those seats (all made by the same people) are an 'ok' seat. Meaning that the feel & material used is what I consider 'ok' but better than other crap brands I've seen out there. The material is actually that mesh perforated material that you would see on the middle section of the real ITR Recaro seat, but not as durable feeling. As for how it feels, me being a bigger guy, they actually feel more comfortable than the real JDM ITR Recaro seats. When I say this, I'm talking about waist & hip room only, where as the JDM ITR seats are very tight and designed for a smaller person. For the actual feel of comfort with the way you sit, I think the ITR Recaro seat feels better there on both your butt and your back.

Is it a good seat? Not the best but it's good for using it for daily driving for something that looks clean & simple, but I wouldn't use it on the road course (doesn't feel like it has enough support on the sides for that). We have one of these on display at our shop, with a real JDM ITR Recaro right next to it for comparason so when people come by, they can sit in both to see the differences for themself.

i had them man, seats to me are garbage, **** falls apart, and like they said before they are as stiff as a board, ya they look alright but thats about it..check the sponsers marketplace, i saw some company selling the speeds for like 510 each, i would rather spend 500 for a brand new speed, then 3-4 hundred for 2 wack seats, just my opinion. just get the better purchase and you wont end up selling it 4 months down the road like you would the fake seats.

i know they are not recaro/sparco/momo etc... quality, but are they better then OEM EG seats?

I was considering getting them cause i wanted something to replace the light gray OEM's in my hatch. + i wanted something adjustable, black & subtle.

i want the black MOMO RS GT adjustable seats, but not sure if i want to spend the $450 each.

would like to hear more opinions on these.

depending on how much cash i get from selling SVT contour, we'll see what i get..maybe i'll just spring for 1 momo right now & get the other matching on later on...who knows.

well i looked on the market place
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1133885

and read the reviews. they seemed liek good reviews across the board.
I guess you have to take the seats for what they're worth (literally) Im thinking that there have been other cheaper knock offs that are really bad, and that maybe whey people hate on them so much (that and the fact that H-T hates knock off anything). These are NRG. and maybe a bit better. dunno.

I know theres no comparison to the real recaro's no one is making any arguement of that. just interested in a descent comfortable safe seat that looks nice. I'll prolly get them down the line but wanted to know if i should even consider them. Thanks fellas.

I threw a set of these in my hatch and I love them. Why? Because they are cheap as dirt. You can get a new one for well under $200. I got mine for $120 +shipping. They are durable as hell and FIA approved. They arent adjustable but you dont really need to adjust them unless you are one of those stunna ricers that leans his seat all the way back in which case your gay. The fixed position is very comfortable, its upright, but not as such to be uncomfortable. I have driven for hours in them.. Well I could go on forever.

Depends on the person for the Sprint. My friend loves it in his car but I can't stand it because that **** has no padding! I can feel the metal bars pushing against my tailbone

Ok then, pick up a Corbeau. They arent as expensive as the higher end brands and they are still really nice.

Edit: Always buy from third party dealer. Manufacturer will always rape you with price

this is just an alternative you might consider..i really wanted those replicas but found mixed reviews after researching and didn't want to risk it. if you want the black/red look and comfortable seats and a cheap price tag, i'd look into some del sol seats. i paid $125 for mine because they had a rip (i could care less) and i think it's one of the most worthwhile mod ive ever done to my car.
