Default SRR rear tie bar vs. A-spec Racing

I am in the market of buying either one. I've searched but could really find anything specific. I just want some opinions from those running these setups.

I also had a question, will my 22mm itr bar fit with the SRR?

SRR offers nothing in the way of subframe reinforcement. It still causes the swaybar to "pull" on the mounting point as it moves.

The ASR piece keeps what I was trying to explain above from happening.

I'll be getting a comptech for my car soon, but since you already have the bar (at least that's the impression I got), I would go with the asr.

i have the srr...no need for reinforcement with the 19mm bar, its not too agressive.

but im thinking of upgrading to comptech soon

the way the srr brace makes the bar sits i dont think it will work with the itr bar. your best bet would be the asr one.
i plan to upgrade my srr one to asr

I just picked up the comptech bar by it self off of ebay for just under $200 shipped,, i already had the itr sway bar,,wich ripped off after almost three years,, put it on last night every thing came together great,,well i had to make a plate to fill the half-dollar hole in the sub frame and slot the stock sway bar mounts.. but other than that, it shure feels good to have a rear sway agian..

thats cool, but i my mind I already have a good bar, and my subframe isnt torn yet, so I want to prevent that. It looks like I am leaning towards the ASR brace, its a bit more pricey, but I'm sure it will save me $$ and headaches in the long run.

ASR all the way. Ive had my kit for about 4 months now and the sway bar setup works well. The great thing about the kit is it uses mostly all Honda OEM parts for the links, bushings, etc.

Also, if you want to switch from the ITR rear sway to say...a Mugen rear sway or any other brand that makes ITR specific bars, you can. (Provided you get the matching bushings.)

That looks really good and sturdy, how was the ease of installation?

Does comptech even sell that brace by itself? I saw on the website that it came with a swaybar combo only. If u bought that piece alone, how much did u pay for it?

Not hard at all. I had to use Integra Rear LCA's. That was probably the hardest thing to do...Well that and torque'ing all the bolts when the car was on the ground.

Took me about an hour with air tools.

yes either directly from comptech (call them) for like 225, or from this guy on ebay, witch is actually a acura dealership, for 200 shipped,,a real good seller, bought lots of oem stuff from them

But i didn't understand. those prices are just the "tie" bar"? What about the all setup (with the anti sway bar), do they sell? And ASR sells the anti-sway bar? How much is a OEM ITR rear (22mm) sway bar, anyone nows..?

Thanks..

I believe the Comptech rear brace alone is $199 retail cost.

I had the SRR, it didn't fit perfectly and I had problems with my rear bar rubbing on my muffler. I picked up the ASR bar, no more problems or worries.
IMO the ASR bar is the same basic idea as the Comptech, but stronger. And it fits like OEM.

thats subjective, no one has done any stress test, and there is evidence to dispute your claim. the ASR kit is great and wont let the subframe rip i belive, but from a structual stand point i disagree with you
