No, the replicas are not exactly the same.

Those in the know will always be able to spot your fake seats.

They're slightly different.

I'm not giving you an opinion, you asked if the had the same dimensions and I let you know that they do not.

on a side note.....

here's the dimensions of the R-1 replicas of the type R seats :

http://www.24hiper.com/R1_raci...t.htm

I had these. I now have the actual JDM ones. I think the actual ones are a tad smaller than these ( not exactly sure since I didn't measure them ) because...well....the real ones feel more snug and more comfy Not that these weren't comfortable at all. They were! Of course...I see these on ebay a lot. But without the "R-1" stitching on.

It did when I first got em. But after a while...the side bolsters on the upper part and lower part of the seat kinda "fanned" out because of wear and tear ( and me getting in and outta the car ). So...it no longer kept you in one place as snug as it used to. But it was still comfortable as hell. Surprisingly too....considering they're knock offs. If you're planning on getting those seats, I would recommend getting someone to put some kinda backing to those seats that will extend out to the bolsters so it retains its hold of you in the seat.

it depends on if you're just getting regular recaros or the jdm ones.....and of course...how much you're willing to spend. I've found the jdm ones all over the place and they cost at the very least $1,000 before shipping. Most with seats rails...a few without.

What's the difference?

Is that $1000 per seat or for the set? Gimmie some links to where I can order them. I don't give a **** if they are JDM really, I just care if they are real recaros and snug.

$1000 for the set. I can't link any ebay auctions, though that's where I've been seeing some. You can also try hmotorsonline.com, optionsautosalon, etc etc.

ummm yea....I know that. That was a pic of everything before the work was completed. Remember I said those were my "old" seats. I no longer have those nor do I have the 4 point harness. I have the recaros now...and am looking for another set of 4 point harnesses.

A stock seat is crash tested and approved correct?

Have any of these knock-offs undergone any testing to warrant them to be safe in case of a crash?

The replicas? No they did not. I had a fabricator use my stock sliders for those seats. He did....well..something to it to make it fit. Those R-1s ( or perhaps any of the replicas ) come with "universal" sliders which suck ***** and most of the time will not work in your car. You'll have to get someone to redo your stock brackets in order to make those seats work.

I do not know. And I guess I'll never find out since I got rid of them. You may want to call the distributor or seller of these seats to find out.

You can try passwordjdm.com.....

http://www.jdmshit.com/parts/interior/index.html <---scroll down and you'll find it

you can try jdmland.com.....but I'd call them just to make sure....

and SOMETIMES...due to my weird luck I've bought stuff from VIS Racing that they don't have on their website....call them.

You could try options auto salon ( haven't checked their site in a while ), but they're usually very pricy!

inlinefour.com....

and...that's all I can think of for now.
