probably not for what you thought.

well, i feel that i've pretty much outgrown my civic. it lacks any kind of practicality, scraped everywhere i went, loud obnoxious exhaust, wouldn't pass emissions, and the tranny was starting to make noise.

i wanted something i wouldn't have to worry about being stolen, had a warranty, quiet(er), had more practicality (towing, hauling, etc). and MOST importantly, something that i wouldn't spend a penny on, other than payments and routine maintenence.

now with that out of the way (cause i'm sure it won't be liked by everyone):

like i said, the '05's tacoma's styling is hit or miss, some people like it, and a lot hate it... what i have noticed is it's MUCH bigger than the previous gen... it sit's a lot higher than the neighbors silverado (in the pics) and my roomate's huyndai santa fe. overall i think i'll be pretty happy with it. although, after 3 years with the civic, there was a bit of a lump in my throat when i drove away looking back at it.

 

nice man...im really thinking of getting out of this scene also..no a/c no p/s no nothing makes you kinda want a 4 door automatic lol

 

yeah a/c is nice.. i had it in my civic, but hardly ever used it because when i did the car could hardly get out of it's own way. i think this thing has somewhere close to 200ft/lbs of torque... which isn't a lot, but definatly a step in the right direction from what i came from... using a/c doesn't seem to affect it at all.

 

great! now get a lift kit and raise up 30"

good choice none the less, can't go wrong with a toyota, i just wish they wouldn't have hopped on the "large" american bandwagon.

there's no such thing as a good mini truck now that toyota did this with the tacoma

im sure you all can remember, those practical cheap great mpg little trucks you could drive around carelessly for years to hell and back hauling your **** around with no problems?

Youll be back. You might not sell the truck to get a Honda but youll crave another one. I said the same things as you when i bought my Frontier a couple years ago and i still have it but have also had two Hondas in that time. Its nice having a DD thats stock w/ AC especially in AZ.

yeah, like i said, i was sad to see the civic go. i definatly still love cars and tuning, but i think next time i just might pick up a small side project to tinker with instead of trying to dump money into my daily driver.
