CV joint noise?
I just got some Autozone reman. axes for the crx. I noticed when I take a super sharp turn (hence turning the wheel all the way to the left for a U turn). I hear like a crackling noise coming from my axles. Are they going bad or should I check if they are hitting something? Its getting a little annoying now.
If I need to replace them again, I dont mind. Its not that hard. What am I to do?
Thanks guys,
Jon

I would get the car in the air and turn the wheels fully to whichever side is making the noise. Check for interference with anything around the axles. Also spin the tires and see if you can replicate the sound. My guess is the axles are on the way out.
I also had my CV joint on the passenger side replaced by a reman from firestone...3 months later its clicking again the warranty on the labor has expired. My suggestion is spend the extra money and get a new one from autozone and replace the joint B4 it separates and leaves you stranded.
