Default JDM Front

I rear ended a truck yesterday... My cf hood is jacked and I have a fat hole in my front bumper. (ram air!) My question is are all JDM fronts for a 98 usdm the same or are there variations? I can buy a real JDM front w/o HID for under $2000 so help would be much appreciated. Sorry I don't have any pics because I suck with computers.

they are pretty much the same other than the headlights...hid vs non hid, black housings vs chrome housings.

why don't you want HIDs?? they have the better-looking black housings, too.

$.... I want HID. My plug has 2 kits in stock but that price I am sure doesn't include HID. Do you think that they can get them? And how much should I fork out?

What should I search under as far as install goes. Am I going to need any other parts to install it correctly? If I remember I need a different radiator support but any links would sure help.

You already know that you're obviously going to need new headlights, hood and fenders, grille, but underneath it all, in order to make everything fit, you need the radiator support, bumper support extension and bumper support reinforcement bar. Once you get all that, the body shop should be able to take care of the rest.

keep an eye out in the classifieds and ebay and you should be able to get an OEM jdm front w/o HID for close to $1500

I awas thinking about installing it myself to cut down on the costs. Your pic looks like HID. Am I right? If so how much did you pay for the headlights? The HID JDM casing is the same as the non-HID right?

Yesterday my buddy told me that you need to remove the abs for the HID on the JDM front to fit.. Is this true?

I don't think thats true. I've never heard of anyone having to do this when doing a JDM frontend conversion w/ HIDs.

I could be wrong though.

You repping for Citrus Heights =

As far as the ABS + HID goes, you would only run into a problem if you have a 94-97 integ.
The ABS unit on the 94-97's are bigger and get in the way of the ballast.

If you are looking for a non-HID front, you shouldn't have a problem finding one for under 2k.
