Default EF vs EF Rear Upper Control Arm

found out today that the only real difference between EF and EG rear UPPER control arms is the INNER bushing. the bushing on the EG has a wider diameter dogbone. but the overall diameter of the bushing is about the same. so less rubber. the outer bushing is pretty much the same.

part number search also agrees.

difference in indexing of the dogbone is probably just due to age and fatigue of the bushing.

however, i have found some inconsistency about the SHAPE of the arm itself. in this picture, you can kind of tell that the EF arm is a bit "thicker", and the EG arm is a bit more shallow.

BUT, this isnt always true. because SOME times ive seen EG arms that are the thicker versions. but still with the thicker inner dogbone as mentioned above. not sure why the difference. just different stampings.

one more thing is certain, the LENGTHS of the EF and EG is absolutely the same. i didnt take caliper measurements, but i swapped my EF UCA with a EG UCA just now and did before and after camber measurements and they were exactly the same, pretty much within the measuring tolerance of the gauge.

basically, the two UCA are interchangeable, but the EG arm has a thicker inner dogbone.

just fyi, fwiw and imho
