Which Honda Timing Belt Fits?
Ok another timing belt question...but I was wondering which model Honda Timing Belt would fit on my 98 LS...only reason I'm asking is because when I go to the Honda dealer and ask for an Acura part they send me 4 cities away to an Acura dealer...this would be easier...thanks...also how much will it cost from the dealer?
well judging by ur s/n u have an LS, so u need a b series non vtec belt and i dont think there is a honda oem car that has that in it, now if u had a b series vtec u could get one out of say a 94 del sol vtec.
b20 maybe? CRV?
Also try ordering online. Or go to autozone, napa, or any other parts store.
Or find acura parts online. try http://www.froogle.com

if you look up the part number, you should be able to order it from them anyway.
my local honda dealer gets PISSED when i need parts for an 'acura' motor, even when i bring part numbers. they're just mad because i know more than those counter-jockeys do.

you can use pretty much any b18 or b20 timing belt. but if you use a vetc one you will also need a vtec waterpump to make it fit right. i think the only b-series timing belt that wont work is a b16 timing belt...i think its just a little too short to fit. correct me if im wrong on that.
