Default How the heck are you guys doing it?? I"m lost :)

well, I did a search on this topic and found one thing recently.....I gotta know though, HOW are you guys using the stock clutch cable and throttle cable on a B16A1 swap into a 4th gen civic???????????????????????

I got the teg throttle cable because the Si cable wasn't even CLOSE to fitting in the mount bracket!!!!!!!!! and as for the clutch, the damn thing is so tight I have no freeplay, the pedal is almost touching the dash, and if I push the pedal to the floor, something in the clutch actually grabs and locks up everything! it's just way too tight to work properly....HOW HOW HOW!!!!!

For the throttle cable i used a crxguru.com bracket.

Clutch cable- You need to use either an integra cable, OR get a dremel and take off about 2" of CASING from the clutch cable, which is what i did. Make sure you dont cut the clutch cable or else, well, youre screwed .

I did mine alittle weird. Fist I trimed the plastic adjuster nut. Then I trimed the rubber on the catcher thing that pulls up on the arm. Next I took one of bolt out of the braket on the tanny and that made the braket go crocked and when it settles I tighten the remaining bolt. I have used this setup for over a year now.

p.s. LOL! that throttle cable bracket cost more than a new cable! I just picked up a teg cable for 16.00! Brand new from ACURA, took 5 minutes to install.....they want 25.00 for the bracket!!!!!! PLUS 6.00 for shipping!!!! just some heads up.
