Default High CR, Nitrous, what plugs?

Spent the last hour reading threw nitrous plug threads and couldn't find what I need.

I am running 12.5:1 with a 100 wet direct port fogger CRVtec.

Now I should go 2 colder for compression but than I should go 2 colder for nitrous according to NOS and basic knowledge for CR. But going 4 plugs colder just seems like way to much.?.

Should I just start with a 11 - 12 and work my way down from there?

What do you guys suggest?

NGK only please.

I have a 11.5 compression 2.0 ls vtec with a 120 shot direct port and I am using the ngk bkre7 and the plugs looked real good. I have 7 runs on the plugs. With your setup I would start with a 8 but you will probably end up using the 7. On a 100 shot it says stock to 1 plug colder. With your compression the 7 is a good plug all motor. So I would say start with the 8 and go from there.

NOS site says 1 to 2 steps colder with 105 oct. I'll try some 8s though. 120 on 11.5:1, hows that feel?

That's a similar setup to what i have, except i have a milled head putting it somewhere close to 12.0 compresson(I'll say 11.8-11.9) 81.5 bore. Had a single fogger 70 shot...trying it with a 100-120 direct port soon!....using bkre 8.

Curious...how did it perform...any #'s?

I would not expect you to experience any problems running 4 ranges colder plugs on your engine but 2 colder will probably do ya just fine. Is this a race-only vehicle, street/strip, or street only vehicle? Spark plugs really are not that crucial of component and plug-fouling is a pretty rare occurance with you 4-valve per cylinder EFI guys. Start out cold and work your way up if needed, running a "colder than needed" plug isn't going to hurt you as long as you are not having problems fouling them out. Worst case senario is you foul a few plugs and have to spend $6 on new ones (assuming you know not to buy bling bling plugs at this point).

Plan on around 400 miles a year on the street. Mostly all town driving and a couple races on the weekends.

Of course it will be at the track 3 - 4 times a month.

Ima start with the 8's and see if those don't burn up. 7's with 13.5:1 with the junk is just amazing! If you don't mind could you PM me about what system you were running and what you were shooting at it?

I was going to either run the turbo blue pump gas (110) or C12.

It did ok I had serious traction problems though. It ran a 11.63 at 118.75 with a 1.78 60ft. I was spinning all the way through first and second on M and H 24.5x8.5x13. It was the first night I was out there with the new setup. My ebrake did not hold so I could not do a very good burnout. I ran it all motor the first 2 runs to break it in and it ran a 12.5 so there is room for improvement when I get traction with the nitrous. I just bought a nitrous controller so I think the setup is good for a 11.20.

That on stock sleeves? 1.78 ain't bad. Best I could get out of my 22x8x13 M&H with my old motor was a 2.0 But I didn't have an ebrake at all so that didn't help. Have a couple linelocks for this year.

What PSI did you have in the slicks and stock axles?

The block is sleeved and I had 10 psi in the tires. I am running stock axles. They were used last year too. They have about 50 launches on them. I like to spin a little off the line it saves the axles. I had the block sleeved because I am going to be upping the shot to a 200 with the progressive nitrous controller. I will probably start with about a 80 shot out of the hole and the controller will bring the nitrous on gradually from the 80 to 200 in whatever time period I want.
