Default stuck gas pedal 94 del sol.

Well its not exactly stuck, but heres what happens:

For no apparent reason, every once in awhile, like maybe once every 10 miles or so, when I take all pressure off of the gas pedal, its still "going" a little bit. If im in neutral it hangs around 2k rpm, if I reach down and pull up on the pedal it drops back down to idle. I dont see anything physically restraining the pedal when i look down there.

Any ideas what this could be?

94 Del Sol Si 5spd, mostly stock.

Have you checked the throttle linkage/cable?

Have you touched your throttle cable at all? IF you have then you need to check to make sure theres not to much tension, and make sure you it exactly the way stock was.

If this was no help sorry.

throttle body cleaner and an old tooth brush are your friend.

Actually some of those products cause throttle butterflys to stick. Honda throttle cleaner has a lubricant that stays behind as it cleans. When we use BG products to clean the top ends we have to go back and spray in OEM cleaner just for this reason or the butterflys will stick since these cleaners are so aggressive.
