depending on your location and how you do weld it..rust will come onto that spot and eat on.

If anything pickup a new muffler

the thing is, its my daily driver which means the same may happen to the new muff..even worse. just wondering if the ground clearance is worse on a slanted muff compared to a straight

i would weld it, then sand it down a little bit and hit it with some primer, then some silver/chrome spray paint to keep the rust away, may be ghetto, but there's no sense in buying a new muffler to scrap it on a speed bump or angled drive way, then your another 100 in the whole.....plus its on the bottom of the muffler i assume, so no1 is going to see it,
hope this helps......later

I would weld a plate to it.mask the area. sand. prime. and paint to avoid oxidation.

How about placing a normal looking muffler, like an ES Oval, instead of having a grapefruit shooter? Just my opinion anyways...

If it's already tearing apart, why would you want a "slanted look". That will negate this thread. It will cause even lower ground clearance and instead of having a hole, it'll completely rip off.

well yea...to slant it, the piping before the muff has to bend down towards the ground, but im with whoever said get an es oval or like a kteller muff for like 90$ bucks, you can get the stealth black, or if you still want some show you can get a gloss black or chrome, plus the ground clearance will be 10 times better

Yes.

Most people who are m4d tYt3 JDM, slant their mufflers pointing upwards. You're not going to slant it completely sideways, because that will look plain retarded. Any slanted look is retarded, period.

Get yourself an ES Oval, and call it a day.

you can ask almost any1 here, those mufflers look better than anything else for its price, and its straight through and gives a nice deep tone

fill the hole with some weld, then weld a small plate over it. I would probably just JB weld it though..I don't give a **** what it looks like as long as it's functional. No matter how you fix it it's still gonna wear through as long as you keep scraping.

slanted mufflerrs ground clearence would be better for you... you hit the tip meaning the very end of the muffler... not the pipes underneath. the straight mufflers will hit in a slant b4 the slanted ones will!!! you know what i mean??
