Default ok, guys with a gsr in you ride please read

what ecu are u using????/ did u get a jumper harness, and use a obd1 ecu, or did u rewire it all??? also did u have enough room for the stock intake manifold, or did u switch it out for a skunk2 im?? thanx. i searched and i didnt find any topics on a gsr(literally!)...so lets start one up. Because i tried to use a stock ecu and a chipped b16a ecu(pr3) and it ran very poor. It felt like i was running on 80psi of compression.....no power whatsoever. I am running a chipped b16a ecu that i beleive is reprogramed with a gsr program, because that ecu seems to run pretty good with it. But the vtec kicks in a bit early(4400). and i know vtec is supposed to kick in at 4400, but thats with the stock intake mani. But i have the s2 IM. so would that be a problem??? thanx guys... and what are your times as well?? oh by the way my gsr is usdm(170hp) this topic should be intresting

Just use rhw PR3/PW0 ecu and switch out the intake manifold to the Junk2 one and it will run the B18c just fine ..there are some different connectors on the B18c vice the B16a ..on the block like fan swithc and the thermostat housing..?? but I think thats it ..

I finished my swap last night.
91 Civic Si, 95 B18C1, B16A chipped PM6, 90 Teg distributor, 91 D16A6 injectors, Skunk2 mainfold and lots of other goodies.

It runs ok now. I still don't have the timing perfect (no gun) and the Autometer A/F (I know, I know) reads 1 bar into lean when cruising. It's leaps and bounds better than the D16 but it still needs a little tuning.

thank you 91civicsi.... so u have a stock crx ecu and its chipped to dohc specs??? i thought you needed to have a vtec controller to turn on vtec. Please tell me how it turns out after u get your tuning down. because im curious to see if your ecu will run right with that motor. later
