you are right, for some reason im still thinking they are the same wing, the guy said it was the same part #.. until i see them side by side i will have to think they are the same.

LOL, there's no such thing as a "Honda approved replica."
And there's no such thing as an "Si" or "Ex" wing. They are both dealer options, and can go on either car.
The only thing that would make it an "Si" wing is if it comes pre-painted in one of the three (four if you're from Canada) colors the Si was available in.

If you check the part numbers they are the same besides the color part of the number at the end. The Milano Red and Flamenco Black Pearl Si wing and Ex wing are the exact same part numbers. The shorter Ex wing you are probably talking about is the 92-95 Ex wing which sits low like the GSR ones.

The SI wing is different from the EX, LX, DX wing. The difference are more than just height, the SI wing has an LED, it has civic etched underneath it, it can come prepainted in one of the 3 pearl colors, and sits higher.
The EX, LX, DX, etc wing has no led, sits lower to the trunk, and does not say civic on it.
Now u may have seen the wings on different models, but the option from the dealer is kind of like an EX with SI rims, or someone just put it on their car. The wing was intended for SI owners, as an extra option, kind of like the foglight thing(the trend to end all civic trends)....
The wings are interchangeable for all civic coupes 96-00

i would have to disagree with you, the wing i own is a 99-00 styled wing. alot diff from the 96-98's. My wing is original hunter green color(not a si color). its now painted silver. it has leds and civic etched underneath it.

thats not what i said all the wings can fit each other, they can be added as an option, but there were 2 different style wings....the one you own is based off, or may even be the one originally released as an option for an SI, then lead over to the other model 99-00 civic's....the other wing is what a normal civic would have been equipped with before these options were available..
