Also, I'm looking at doing a couple AutoX's this season. What brake fluid do you recommend?

Cheaper one. It's used for a daily driving, slow Civic.

Add the extra money and get some brembo blanks, you'll be happier in the end.

Cheap rotors=cheap materials

Right now I got brembo blanks and hawks cereamics for daily driving and I love it.

Ya' caught me! They give me the special ones at the cheap one's price because I'm l33t.

Depends on what type of driving you're doing, on a daily basis. If it's normal street driving, any replacement will do.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh............ No. That stuff has a tendancy to collect water much faster than normal brake fluid. The best thing to go with if it's for daily driving is honda brake fluid.

I've upgraded my brakes almost 10 months ago, and I had to put in new brake fluid, that **** is STILL clean and works great, and there is some track days in it as well. Why spend a bunch of money on brake fluid that won't do **** for you?

Exactly, now if you go to the track a lot, then and upgraded replacement will do....like brembo blanks. I have some and absolutely love them.

i've used ATE super blue for a while now, as well as the track. Has been working great, no water collection, for about 7/8 months now

edit: after doing some research Motul does tend to soak up a little more brake fluid, but ATE blue does not. i've never used Motul in my car, but i have friends that do (but only on the track). I'll stand by ATE Super Blue though.

and thinking about the original post, you really don't need anything other than stock DOT fluid unless you'll be going to the track...in an auto-x you shouldn't need higher DOT fluid, it simply won't get that hot.

Whoa, lots of misinformation in this thread.

Rotors = wear item

There is no point in spending more money for rotors, than you have to. Get the cheapest rotors available.

On the track, the cheap stuff will last just as long as more expensive, "better" rotors.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SOHC4life 96 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Uhhhhhhhhhhhh............ I use Motul RBF 600 and ATE Super Blue in various street cars. The brakes are not bled nearly as much as on my track car, and the street cars' brakes are holding up fine.

Motul RBF 600 does have a tendency to collect water faster than normal brake fluid, but it's not a problem.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SOHC4life 96 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I've upgraded my brakes almost 10 months ago, and I had to put in new brake fluid, that **** is STILL clean and works great, and there is some track days in it as well. If you did not boil the Honda brake fluid out on the track, then you're not braking nearly hard enough.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SOHC4life 96 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Exactly, now if you go to the track a lot, then and upgraded replacement will do....like brembo blanks. See my comment above WRT to brake rotors and the "more expensive = better" school of thought.
