99 ACCORD SWAP PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hello i have a 99 accord i just swapped it over to a 92-96 jdm h22 but the problem is that i need motor mounts that will fit it onto my chasis and the second problem is that all my wires from the engine are on the other side of the car from my new engine. so what im asking is if anyone knows what kind of mounts to use to have that engine fit and if anyone knows where to get a wire harness to extend it to the other side of the motor ( i called h motors online and asked them and they said to call up hasport racing ....... but hasport doesnt make it for a 99 accord )
call them anyways there are allot of people looking into doing h22 swaps to there 6th gens maybe get them to fab some up? probably wont happen for a while but its worth a shot
you should be able to use the stock f23 motor mounts from what i hear
i belive that you have to cut away a small portion of the driver side mount to get it to bolt up and it only will use three of the bolts on that side

'cause if you have a 99 Accord you shouldn't be swapping to a H22

Believing is different from knowing.
Use the F23 Mount and brackets.

Here's a summary of all the information I have on this swap since a lot of people have been inquiring about it.
MOTOR MOUNTS:
ALL accord mounts from the 6th gen will be used. You will need the accord rear, front (can be subsituted for h22a front mount also), MANUAL not automatic tranny mount, and accord driver side mount (slight modification will be needed)
The MANUAL tranny mount, front, and rear will be simple bolt-ons.
The DRIVER SIDE mount has to be modified to fit (see picture 1 below). Simpliest way to do this is to loosely bolt the other three mounts in place and draw out a template for the mount on a piece of cardboard, then cut it out and see if it fits the mount, after that mark the holes and trace it to a peice of steel or something sturdy, cut it out and bolt it in.
NOTE: There is very little clearance between the firewall and intake manifold, you will find that it is easier to install the motor around if the secondary butterflies are removed.
---------
A/C:
A/C from the 6th gen accord will bolt be use. Basically a bolt on.
---------
POWERSTEERING:
Several options with this:
OPTION 1: I have heard some said they used a h22a4 (97+ H22 motor) powersteering bracket and a little force to make the accord powersteering pump bolt up to it.
OPTION 2: Make a custom powersteering line that connects the prelude powersteering line head to the accord line to fit it to the inlet of the accord (see picture 2)
---------
WIRING:
EGR: Swap the egr from the F23 onto the H22.
Manual cars:
Just find out where each plug goes and plug it in. Some wires will have to be extended. Should be the same as a 5th gen.
Automatic cars:
You will need to rewire the car to use the prelude vss, just splice the prelude vss harness onto the accord harness and plug it up to the prelude vss. Then tap the output wire from the ecu to the tach into the input wire that goes into the ecu. This allows your speedometer to work properly.
Converting to manual:
You will need to rewire for neutral safety and reverse as well as rewiring the VSS like above.
I also recommend that you make a custom bracket to bolt the top of you clutch pedal to for added strength, I broke 2 clutch pedal brackets from regular driving from not having the bracket. Easiest way to do this is take apart your dash and weld on a steel bar to the firewall that reaches over to the metal frame tubing underneath the dash. Then bolt the top of the pedal bracket to that. This will make your clutch pedal be able to resist the pressure better if you shift with and iron foot like I do.
------
AXLES:
ALL Accord Axles will be used including halfshaft.
------
ECU:
OPTION 1: Keep obd2 by finding a 96 h22a ecu. This ecu has no immobilizer in it so its basically plug and play.
OPTION 2: Convert to obd1 by buying a conversion harness (same as the 00 gsr) then plug up a p13, p28, or any other compatible ecu.
------
This is a fairly basic swap. I did a lot of research on this before my swap was done and the info was very hard to attain since this subject is fairly new. I gave all the info to my friends at STREET DRIVEN PERFORMANCE in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and they did the swap for me. Basically this a summary of what they had to do. I have also added in other things I learned while they did my swap into the details above. I did not do the swap myself so i have retyped the details to the best of my knowledge. If anyone else that did the swap themselves have anything to add or can correct any mistake that i have made in the details, please feel free to do so.

I did the swap over two years ago into my 6th gen. Since then I've been saying the same thing which is that the driver side bracket does not need to be modified.
Everything about the write up is correct. Also pay attention to the IVAC, EGR, Resistor box, etc.
