Ive heard mixed opinions about them. Try out http://www.luminicsbulbs.com. There hyper whites are bright as hell and are a fraction of the price. I just placed a second order with them a few days ago there lights are so good. They also have a forum: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=981215 where you can check out what they actually look like installed on the car.

HID's are the only way to go. I got mine from http://www.hid-lights.com

I could be wrong, but...
I dont think any halogens above about 4,150 are DOT approved for all 50 states. Those luminics bulbs say "5,150" and "street legal". I'd double check that.
Don't know if it's an issue for you, but why give the cops another excuse.

i had piaa xtreme whites. Loved them, but when they eventually blew(1.5 years) i went with silverstars.... they are identical to my PIAA, but at 1/2 the cost

I just put in some KICK *** bulbs. They aren't whiter than halogen per se. Most halogens are 3250 and these are 3600, but theyre MUCH brighter than normal halogens. If you're looking for better performance over color, i'd suggest these. I should post up pics after.
They are HiR bulbs. Theyre Infrared Reflective halogens. A special coating on the bulb reflects infrared light back to the filaments which in turn produces more light. I got them on ebay, they're not cheap at 29.90 a piece, but they're as damn close to light output to HID as I've seen.
I did a 9005 mod PLUS they were HiR, they're pretty damn bright...

I would do some research before buying these bulbs as the stock wattage is 12V 55Watts, anything over that wattage could burn/fry your harness. Silverstar I heard mixed reviews, PIAAs I think is overrated and too expensive. HID is the way to go, but if your not willing to spend $180 to $250+. Go with Philps cool blue or Sylvania silverstar since these are name brands. Remember to check the wattage before purchasing any light bulbs.
I've been here for so long, I know about stock wattages
The wattages ARE same as stock. They're halogen lights with a special new coating to reflect infrared. They come as high beams on Dodge Vipers, etc.
They're 100% DOT compliant and are OEM wattages. I did the 9005 conversion on mine, which are 65 watts (it's a safe mod, there's a how to on accordinglydone) and I compared it. I had an HID kit, and I can honestly say, with difference of color, I have not lost any light output.
For those that want GOOD lighting without HID cost, i'd go with these. If you want the color, forget it. They look like halogens...

I've used Max Golds in my lows and highs, then now I"m using Ion Gold (from Pep Boys) for quite awhile. I like the yellow light because they give off good contrast.

I know the silverstars are 12v 55watts and so are the PIAA Extreme White (stock wattage and DOT approved, etc.). I had a set of EXTREME WHITE before, honestly it was a waste of money, it was only a tad brighter then the stock 1's. But I'm just warning people that is gonna go out and buy light bulbs because it says LIKE HIDs, before checking the wattage and is only brighter because the wattage is at 80watts or 100watts and beyond.

Yea I don't understand people sometimes, but basically they're trying to get people that are unaware of their vehicle to think these are excellent bulbs when in fact they'll fry the wiring and sockets...

Ditto. They ROCK! Even for a non-performance (as in engine) driver these are definitely better than the standard halogen bulbs.
These guys are totally right. Get some...
I had a hell of a time getting the actual bulbs out of the wiring harness though. That sucked. It was hard as hell for some reason.

If you want brighter and color, go with silverstars, if you want better lighting than silverstars with the halogen color, definitely go HiRs. I've gotta post pics these things light up the road just like HIDs.
