what do you do about car alarms and turbo timers????!!!

Default what do you do about car alarms and turbo timers????!!!

my car alarm wont let me arm it until the car is shut off. has anyone dealt with this problem?? thanks in advance

It works perfectly fine for me. Just set the shock sensor less sensitive you will be fine.

Or to elaborate on that further, you can hook up the ground of shock sensor to the negative armed out from the alarm. Most will have them, and is usually the wire that goes out to the relay for the starter kill. This way you wont have to worry about a shock sesor that isnt sensative enough to set off the alarm!

if you do that,it will still go off when you arm the alarm.if you want to bypass the shock sensorget a relay and hook 85 to ground,86 to the ignition wire you un hooked the alarm ignition from.cut the red wire of the shock sensor and hook one side to 30 and the other to87a.this will not alow the shock sensor to work with the ignition on or when the turbo timer is on.i manage a stereo/import performance shop and i do them all the time.they work perfectly.

On my Alarm (DEI, who makes Viper, Hornet, etc) if you hold "I" for 3 seconds, it arms while the car is counting down. I use this to warm up my car in the morning as well.
