my car alarm wont let me arm it until the car is shut off. has anyone dealt with this problem?? thanks in advance
hook the alarm ignition wire to accesory
Or to elaborate on that further, you can hook up the ground of shock sensor to the negative armed out from the alarm. Most will have them, and is usually the wire that goes out to the relay for the starter kill. This way you wont have to worry about a shock sesor that isnt sensative enough to set off the alarm!

On my Alarm (DEI, who makes Viper, Hornet, etc) if you hold "I" for 3 seconds, it arms while the car is counting down. I use this to warm up my car in the morning as well.
