Default KYB AGX + Coilover Sleeves....

I am curious as to how many of you out there are using KYB AGX shocks with coilover sleeves such as Ground Control and have your vehicle dropped more than 1.5"? I was talking to a distributor of the AGX shocks and he said that if you use the shocks as listed above, KYB will not warranty your parts, because they are not meant to be on vehicles lowered that much.

While Im not as concerned with KYB warranting my parts, I am concerned that if I end up around a 2 or 2.5 inch drop, that the performance, and life of the shock is going to be greatly diminished? Are there shocks that will go that low and still be within the intentions of the manufacturer? Any advantage to this style setup (@600 shipped) over 1piece OmniPower (@650 shipped)?

Any thoughts or suggestions? Otherwise I'll probably end up getting 1piece Omnis or something.

This is for a 1990 Civic Si, if that makes any difference whatsoever.

Peace

Ive got AGX's and Ground Controls on my 93 Si. Its dropped about 2.5 inches.. Been like that for a while now(maybe a year and a half). Ive got the shocks set at 2. Ride is fine. Ive also got 450/350 spring rates. Other then me wanting something new, there is nothing wrong with them.

my friend bought some agxs from me and paired them up with skunk2 sleeves. all i can say is... the ride is stiffer than a ****. his car is dumped too. i wouldnt worry too much about them going bad with a low drop. i've heard many good things about kyb. i have the tokico illuminas with the gc sleeves. solid, smooth ride

Yep same here AGX's with GC's and about a 2 inch drop.
Spring rates 400/300 as our roads here in NZ aren't the smoothest.
Love the ride and have had many comments that the car sticks like glue to the road I have the shocks set at 3 all round.
I have been thinking of changing to a full coilover set up but some are very difficult to adjust and GC's are easy as to change and I don't have any real issues with my ride
