Default Preparing for a 4th gen H22A swap.

As the title says, I'm planning on doing a h22 swap "soon" and just looking for some suggestions as to what modifications I should do while the engine is going in. I'm already planning on switching to an h23 manual tensioner, doing timing belt, and water pump.. but are there any other mods that are recommended to do at this time?

Also any other information about this swap would be handy.. things to look out for, things to watch, anything.

oil pan gasket, tube seals, balancer belt, Ignition Wires (if the ones it came with are no good) Spark plugs, always a must when getting a newer car/motor. Axle seals. valve cover gasket, have an exhaust guy ready to, or an exhaust...as the engine will not quite fit the tiny accord exhaust (i'm assuming your going with a 5th gen Accord [94-97])

my ignition switch died, and had to buy a new one. Also had to change Radiator. Change the cap & rotor, (over the distributor) Transmission seal is a good one to change as its very hard to change afterward,

Have wiring harness ready to go, (if you bought one great, if not use the existing one, and make a map of where the wires have to go. goodluck.....those are some preventative maintenance things.

where' u getting the motor from, a few buddies of mine have ordered from hmotorsonline.com, and every single one of them came with a bad distributor and spark plugs, pretty freaky, but hey, couple hundred dollers later, the civic ex, is now an Si, and the stock f22 accord, is now a fully built boostes h22, so dont make a drastic decision, take ur time,

I'll be getting it from jdmsource, so it will come with transmission, ECU, alternator, power steering pump, distributor, wiring harness. I'm not going to be doing the swap myself, I don't have the facility to do it at all.

I was thinking of buying a full gasket set for the engine, and getting them to change all that over.. can't go wrong with that...

I've got custom 2.25" cat-back exhaust right now.. so once I get the new engine in, I will be driving straight to an exhaust shop to get the rest of it finished. I might also get a header for the new engine, and put that on at the same time.

plugs, wires, cap, rotor will also be done (if not at the same time, very shortly after).

jdmsource has a shop that they contract out to to do their installs and have said if there is a faulty alternator, distributor, etc that they will replace it under warranty.. so for most things like that I won't worry too much.

Don't forget to do the timing and balancer belts as well as the water pump and thermostat.
