Default What compression will I need?

What compression will I need to run this spec camshafts?

Advertised Duration Int- 311 mid Exh-308 mid
Duration @ .050" Int- 255 mid Exh-248 mid
Gross Lift w/1.55 Int- 468 mid Exh-467 mid

youll get better results if the specs were in MM not standard...someone that knows all about cam specs can tell you though...TTT

.468 = 11.88
.467 = 11.86

Where did you get these specs??? I would say on a 1.8 atleast around 10.5ish.....?

Ah, those are the stage 2 cams right?

I'm using Crower stage 3's and will be running 12.5:1 compression.

You ought to check the "official" Prelude camshaft thread, I believe there are a few guys running the stage 2 cams.

Ya because that makes sense..... Im not a asking a brand specific question, Im asking what compression will I need, because I no with chevys what compression I will need for a camshaft. I just think this stage 2 camshaft will need higher then stock compression to be worth while

i got Skunk 2 Stage 2's cams, retainers and springs in recently....should have done more research....I need 11:1 compression to fully take advantage of these cams...will be putting in JDM
11:1 pistons in soon with upgraded rods...

look at the specs on a stock cam and then go a little up from that if your just changing your cam, good luck
