Today I bought the last 2 in Canada BNIB black 88-91 civic optional center console pocket
super rare !

doesn't look oem. The shifter part and the tray seem out of place.

 

I forgot the part # but you can roll over to your Honda dealer and ask for the console shots.....they will have pics in their computer. Its an OEM Console Adaptor for a 88-91 Civic Special Edition.

Same console my friends 90 Honda Civic CX has

 

I doubt very much that any dealer will have the console....but if you do let me know..

 

Is that that rare SIR one...the one that has the ring around the lighter that lights up? Not sure though.

 

Some EDM civics has that same interior.

 

Do a Honda-tech search on "rare center console" in the EF section and you should find a post from a guy in Canada that can get them from the dealer. In light of the fact that it appears you are also in Canada, just ask him for the part number.

I'd like to know what the cost is in US dollars!!

As I understand it, the panel was a dealer installed option here in the US. The part hasn't been available here for quite some time.

I lucked out and when I bought my car a couple years ago, it already had one.

I have that console. I found it at the wreckers, but it was blue so I had to paint it to match. I believe it came out of a Canadian Special Edition. Next time I take it off I will look for a Part #.

 

Seems like I remember a post here where someone posted a copy of the factory available options,seems like it was a 1990 pamplet.If you can find the post,It'll have the part numbers on it.

Hit up the junkers they always have at least one in their car. But stay out of the Kitchener Waterloo ones. Ive already picked them all clean for EF parts worth anything.

first off- the picture you posted is not of the usdm accessory console. it is an oem piece but from a non-usdm car.
second- don't bother gathering the accessory part numbers...i work at a dealer and have already searched all of the variations and colors. there are no longer any available.

Im going to have to disagree with you on that one. Ive picked 3 of them out of junk yard in the last 2 years and they came from stock Civics. Maybe it is becauses I live in Canada but Ive seen them in many cars at shows, meets and at the junkers.

Hi there-

Sorry to say that the EF optional console is no longer available from Honda. If you go to a dealer it should still be listed under "accessories" in their parts catalog, and at best they can run a parts locate on it for you. That MAY turn up a new one at a random dealer in the US.

As far as from the factory, they are no more. They were only about $50 from Honda at the time I bought one.

Heres the part number for the black one, and you can still get them. I got the one for the EG when I used to own one. All the dealships said there was no more available, but I just ordered it from slhondaparts.com along with a armrest and they were able to get both.

would it be able to go into a crx or no? or would i have to swap out the whole dash?

What the hell? What would be the point of that? The CRX already has an oem center console

I'm more curious to know if you can ship to the US. I've been looking for a blue one of these for my 4g4d for the last few months.

I can't seem to find it anywhere online or in the junk yards.
