Hence my warning. From what I gather it worked quite well, even if limited. It's a lot cheaper than a full rig though, so some of the crazy ******* here might want to try it.


I would if I needed to TIG something, and didn't have access to one already.

i have access to like 5 welders, an aerowave, a synchrowave and a few miller mig's. but i think i might make one of these for ***** and giggles

Go with a 2.5 hp electric motor and a big 300 amp alternator and you got yourself a pro-fessional TIG.

Even though i've never welded before in my life I'd enjoy making that for a weekend project. I'll have to pass it by my dad and see what he thinks.
