my charge piping.
figured id throw up some pics of my first ever attempt at making something. Ive had maybe about an hour behind the trigger of a cheap 110v 'power mig' that def has some issues with the wire feed.
I should have taken some pics before the painting, but i didnt so this is all i have. Ill get some pics of it on the car next time i go up there
I didnt bother grinding any of the welds except on the upper pipe

dude, you dont even want to know the trouble ive been having with this thing. That and going to school full time, working 40 a week, and the car being an hour away makes it hard
But the motor has been completly rebuilt, trans completly rebuilt, and everythings coming together now. Plan to have it on the road within a month.

i would have given up by now. between the piston problem and half a tranny, i would either have killed the ppl that sold me the parts or sold it all. at this point im waiting for the oh-so undependable ups ans usps to deliver all of my parts.... in one piece i hope
i know what you mean there man... theres been lots of times where i was just like fug it... then a week or two later, i always come back to it. I finally got all the interior in and cut out for the cage and everything, ill get some picks of that next time i go up and work on it.
Im wainting on cam gears, a new fuel rail, fpr, then all thats left is put the cams in, get the exhaust done, and tune the bitch. Im getting anxious

thats awesome man. I had to go through a little bit switching everything from running the hondata i had to the aem ems. Had to get a new bung welded in the manifold for the aem egt, things like that.
Thought about going DIS with the C2di box but decided to wait since they were having alot of issues with em.
Im trying to get everything done right. Rewired/tucked pretty much everything in the bay, sanded/painted most of the mounting brackets, spent a rediculous amount of time fitting the interior pannels and carpet in around the cage, things like that.
But yea, more pics next time i go up there. Ill try and remember to take the good camera

was wondering what you guys do to keep the inside of the pipes from rusting? Or do you just let it go?
I plan on cleaning em out with some rags and solvent on a string

the oil the turbo pukes up in the pipes *SHOULD* keep it from rusting
i've seen a number of mild steel pip'ed cars with rusted outsides and clean insides because the turbo likes rustproofing things

there already is some rust building up on the inside, so i guess im just going to hit it with the rags and solvent and call it a day
i dunno how well it would work but i've always thought about hooking up a large 120mm computer fan to one end of the pipe pulling air through it; and using some sort of electrical device to posatively charge the paint and negatively charge the pipe. That way when you sprayed the paint in the suction end of the pipe it would stick to the inside
