Default Full Exhaust - Which one?

Hey guys, I have come to the conclusion that I would gain something from getting a header and header back exhaust. However, I don't know exactly what I should get. I've been look at the GReddy EVO2 exhaust but I'd like to know how loud it is. I don't want the car to be too loud, I just want to replace my exhaust system because I have and LX and the exhaust system sucks.....is the evo2 header back?

i've got the EVO 2 exhaust on my 91 LX and i love it. the sound isnt one of those unbearable noises like some we've all heard, its more of a deep sounding exhaust. awesome sounds when full throttle also. i would definately recommend it!

as long as they are both made for the model accord you have youll be fine

only thing lieft would be the cat or "mid-pipe" if you get an axle back exhaust

what kind of midpipe would be compatible with the dc sports and evo2 catback exhaust? Do you think I'll gain like 8hp with all this or no? I'm talking to the crank too, not the wheels obviously.

the only thing in between the header and catback is the catalytic converter itself.

I love my evo, it has a nice deep sound. I would get the greddy evo or an RS*R exmag if you want it more quiet.

Well if your talking about stock parts you still will have the cat. Which i would recommend upgrading when you do everything.

dont worry about the cat IMO

and if you do buy one, make sure it IS A CATALYTIC CONVERTER

so many places say they sell cats and its a test-pipe

Alright, I think I'm going to just stick with stock...hopefully everything will install without any rigging. Do you think I'll run into any problems installing DC Sport 4-2-1 headers, with a stock cat, and greddy evo2 catback? Anyone know of any sites which sells these products for relatively cheap? I've search but haven't had much luck...thanks

no you still will have your stock cat...the only thing new cat back exhaust will add is piping+midpipe(resonator) to keep things even quieter...your header(if you already chose one) will bolt on directly to your cat, and the exhaust piping will connect to the back of the cat also...you could go ahead and get high flow cat or test pipe, but make sure whatever u choose has an O2 hole to accomodate the sensor

i went a different rout to save money...I had muffler shop bent me 2.25 inch pipe from cat-back with resonator($125) and then bought APEXI WS2 muffler from ebay for $169... Grandtotal i spent $294 including install. If you go greddy evo you might spent $200+extra just for exhaust and piping.

I love my WS2 its VERY quiet and tuned just right for the street.
just whatever you do if you're going to stay N/A make shure you dont exceed 2.5 inch piping, because you going to need backpressure or your car wont move off the line(I think 2.25 inch is just right)

when getting header, make sure its a reputable manufacturer and preferably stainless, cuz ceramic WILL eventually break. I bought dc sports and cracked it within 2.5 years(my primaries), but bought another one of ebay for $50(just the top piece)

btw...you will see close to 7-8 crank hp from header full exhaust set up...good luck

Yes it will all work together. I have heard problems with Ceramic headers on trucks lot with the rusting and people just not liking them. I have also heard several complaints about DC Sports but sounds like they are ok. It should all bolt up together. The Cat back exhaust is meant to bolt up to your stock cat on one side and the header should bolt up to your stock cat on the other side. I am not a huge fan of the Greddy exhaust but it is supposed to be a very good exhaust. I would look for a Greddy header or another brand though. Just keep the stock cat no need to go aftermarket. Are you sure Magnaflow doesn't have a Cat for your car? They may not but I would check if you really want to replace it you could find a high flow cat somewhere I'm sure but I'm not sure it would actually make a noticable differnce.
