I've seen awhile back a full front end skid plate that covers the underneath of your engine bay. It doesn't protect just the header, but everything, including the oil pan.

Does anyone know where to get it?

It might help w/ aerodynamic too!

EDIT:

Here's one for the NSX. If something like this was put on the Honda Civic, it would protect the header and oil pan. The one I saw was a direct bolt in using existing holes.

Here's one installed on the WRX.

EDIT:
I found it! Rallyarmor.com makes it for $180 + Shipping. What do you guys think?

Are you talking about the splash guard that gets bolted on with the bumper?

I think I saw something like that in a Summit magazine. It's $500 for a piece of carbon fiber that goes under the engine bay. Doesn't really protect anything, but is supposed to "slighty increase the aerodynamics of your small sport compact vehicle"

I haven't heard of anything in metal, but I have been thinking about making one.

You can easily make one of your own. This doesnt come stock on civics or anything like that...

You may be thinking of the VX rear diffuser.

Yes. It's very easy to make. Just use aluminum so it doesn't rust and bend with a metal bender. Drill some holes for stainless steel bolt/screws and bobs yer uncle. It's a good way of protecting the exhaust downpipe and bolts.

MKIII Supras have them stock, they are plastic. You may be able to drill and trim to fit a Civic. They go for a pretty peeny though as they are usaly torn off.

Just make one. Don't block air from blowing on your oil pan though, you need that. Make an air scoop for the oil pan, then put an indentation and a hole underneath the oil pan drain bolt to help funnel the oil when you change it. I'd leave an opening to reach the filter too. Then you'll only have to remove the plate for alternators, tranny fluid etc.

What's the story behind that picture? Someone die or did it roll downhill?

check to see if there is a garage that preps rally cars in your area, they would be able to make a custom one for you for pretty cheap i bet.

or really any metal fab shop, like someone that does custom cages in your area

I don't think they make them for Honda/Acura.

You could just make your own. Take a sheet of metal, cut it up and bend it to how you want it to fit, weld on some brackets, and bolt it on.
