stinky H22 problem
ive got an h22 in my 94 tegg and when im cruising with the windows down you can smell some nasty *** oil/gas smell. ppl say im puffin a lil black/blue smoke and got real low oil pres. need some opinions of what it might be. i think its my rings...havent done a compression test yet. idle gets real weird up, down, up, down.

what he said. check all gaskets and if that isn't the problem you might have bad rings. either way, you are indeed burning oil.

check your spark plugs, and since the plugs are out, check the compression, and do a leak down test...as for idle, IACV, dirty throttle body, vacuum leak somewhere on intake manifold...good luck!
you could be leaking oil and it's somehow hitting the exhaust causing it to burn and create that smell. you might also have an exhaust leak. check your header, exhaust piping, oil pan and all around the bottom of the block for oil that could be leaking.
