Are you talking about the OE filters you just pick up from a local dealership here? Those are ****, rebadged, FRAM filters.

I think any API approved oil, under normal driving conditions, will serve you well as long as you change it regularly. Napa filters are cheap and they don't have the paper end cap on the filter element like the Frams do. I sure like that grip that Fram puts on though.
