Sure, but you need a 3 TPI blade and a bandsaw that can use a 3 TPI blade.

It cutting non-ferrous metals, the rule of thumb is to have between 3 and 6 teeth in the part at once. You only need a super course blade because you want to cut something really thick. You might be able to get away with a 10 TPI blade, but you will need to use wax lube to prevent clogging of the teeth.

The harbor freight bandsaw, do a search for my review on it. It has 3 speeds and cuts pretty well

Dont know if they sell "Delta" in the US. but they are cheap and work pretty good!

the more teeth the less the blade will 'bite' into the part. i bet 10tpi will work ok but is nowhere near ideal. take your time and lube it up!

When cutting aluminum, faster blade speed is better.

I hate quoting books but The Welder's Handbook says: 9 tpi and 1600fpm for the speed.

At what speed did you cut with an 18TPI blade?
