Default Amber...err DEEEP RED gauges

pictures taken with a cell phone, all i had available, so it looks like crap. but you get the idea, the quality and darkness is perfect up front, no faded sides, all even and crisp red

i followed ur instructions and its great. just gotta do CC

Thanks to BauleyCivic for the write up

reply again (im limited so all i can do is edit)

Tech info.

I didnt actually buy new bulbs, ima cheapo, and i wanted a deaper red instead of an orange, so i took Red "Odds n ends" fast dry spray enamel paint to the bulbs. If you choose to use this paint you have to do about 3 or 4 coats, because if you dont you will get a pink cluster.... patients is a must of course, i tried it too quick, well got finger prints and smudged it had to start all over.

Something else i found out while doing this, those little blue rubber caps on the bulbs, they kinda melt to the bulbs, and are a pain to get off. i used a razor and carefully scraped away at it.

also, someone posted in bauley's thread about using LED's, well i went and bought 16 bucks worth of LED's. DONT USE THEM. They dont spread light evenly and you are left with gaps of darkness. im gonna see if best buy will take these back

if i had used the newer bulbs i bet this would have been alot brighter, however i dont like a bright cluster so i chose used bulbs.
