Going FI, Need Suggestions, Opinions, & Help.
Wrecked my 96' EK Hatch MiniMe Prjoect.
Now I've Got a Bone Stock 98 EX Coupe. Came across a boat load of money and need to turbo this biatch now. I wanna grab a kit not piece it together sorry guys.
Anyhow, i'm looking at a Greddy Kit w/ a Greddy Intercooler Kit
(Prob is the intercooleron the greddy site says its for a 92-95 only)
but ppl are selling them w/ a 96-00 turbo kit as one whole turbo and ic kit, should it work? it would be $2350.00 shipped
Or i'm thinkin the the deal on H-Tech.com for the drag turbo kits $2600 shipped
Both have pros and cons ups and downs ones internal other's external we all know the deals.
Anyhow, i'm asking you guys which should i go with, i dont have another 1k to spend on the edelbrock kit for $3,500.00 shipped but i do already have a skunk2 pro series intake mani to use with any kit i buy.
I wanted to know what else should i change/upgrade at the same time as i do the turbo, such as....
Head Gasket, was looking to get most greddy parts if i go w/ the greddy kit such as the greddy head gasket, plugs, relief valve, catch can, rad fan, and the evo TT exhaust. profec e-01, greddy turbo timer. fluidyne rad.
Also ARP head studs, new timimg belt and water pump, sard fuel pump,
sard fpr, sard rad cap (1.5),
Anything else anyone can suggest is a must replace at this time?
Or go DRAG Turbo kit? i mean its external waste, maybe more flexible, larger turbo t3/t4 but its got the fmu, i can always harness my car to a p28 and run uberdata threw either setup but i'm not sure what to do, which do you guys think would yeild better results? i'm more of a stick w/ one company kinda guy thats why i'm leaning towards the greddy kit w/ the ic kit, but does it fit the 96-00s? it clearly says that kit is for a 92-95, not sure what to do... plus i'de like and other info on any other safe gaurding parts that i over looked.
PS. within a month or two i will definitly be getting a full Crower valve train upgrade w/ Stage 2 Turbo Cam, SS Valves, Springs, Ti Retainers, and Cam gear. and a NX Nitrous IC SPrayer....and like i said if i go all greddy and all greddy gauges inside aswell from egt to air/fuel, oil press, oil temp, etc...
Thanks, this would help alot this is the 1st time i'm finally going to get to upgrade my car the way i want, i have finally have saved enough money and it took years to do so, so i dont want to go the wrong way or get ripped off or spend all this money and forget something and it fails only 3 weeks later... thanks guys.
