Default tranny swap-cam trouble

I have a few questions, 1)Can you swap a D16Y8 tranny into a D15B engine? If you can is it worth it? My friend is having trouble with the cam (D15B) It won't adjust? Any inputs are welcomed.

the tranny swap would not be worth it unless your d15b is ****. it has shorter gears and might even have lsd....u would know if it had lsd

I know they don't adjust themselves, he does the adjusting. When put on the track the car feels like it's carrying a ton of bricks. Shouls we just forget about the d15b and move onto something else?

not sure, I doubt it's a jdm motor, we really wanted to do something with this motor. He needs to start looking for a B16B, thanks to all.

then its probably a d15b7 which are worthless if youre looking for something quick. do not get a b16b....1-its not legal at all cuz theyre wasnt a usdm version. 2. your paying the same price as an itr and getting less trq. get a b18c5...stay legit and fast
