Ive been looking for an emblem that I saw a pic of online. Its a red emblem that goes on the grille, I believe its cursive. It says "Prelude". I assumed it was OEM and ordered it from Honda, but apparently its not. Or is it? The one I got from the dealer is a black rectangle with "PRELUDE" in silver.

Ive tried searching on h-t in archived & recent for any possible combination I could think of, I looked thru as many pics of preludes... 56k > me.
Ive searched google & ebay as well. Does anyone know what emblem Im talking about? Any help would be greatly appreciated...TIA

 

I think your talking about the prelude emblem that came on the 4th gen preludes.

I have yet to ever see this in the grill of any 5th gens,so its probably custom or aftermarket. Mine infact came with a blank grill from the guy I bought it from. I like it, but I do agree that the old school cursive logo looks nice.

 

Sure it didn't say ATTS?

 

Ive never seen of it or heard of it.

And yea Ive seen the ATTS one too, I saw a bunch yesterday when I was searching...

Im gonna try searching for 4th gen lude embles? Oh well, Ill just keep the OEM one I got.

yea, OEM i think 97-99 preludes or some years like that came with the grill that had the prelude emblem in it.

 

I belive 99-01 came with the mesh style grill with the prelude emblem.

Correct, 97-98 came with the blank grill with three horizontal 'bars'.

i think you mean 1 bar in the middle

 

I have a '99 and it has the mesh style grille. But the previous owner took off all badges and put a ricey (IMO) rear H badge, and thats it.

And me being no expert on preludes, I dont know what emblems came with what year, or grille, etc. So anyway, I know Ive seen a red, cursive emblem on the mesh style grille, placed on the drivers side. It COULD be the 4th gen trunk emblem made to fit, OR another emblem that exists somewhere out there.

SIDE NOTE: ^^ Dude that house looks JUST like mine, except the roof is different, we dont have a winnebago, and no continental in the garage. The guy in the pic even resembles my stepdad! Freaky ****.

 

97-98 Preludes came with the grill with one bar inbetween.
99-01's came with this:


and the only red badge I've seen is the ATTS one posted a few posts up.
