Default Sparks shooting off brakes when you hit them???

I saw a video of a civic vs a gsr on fullrace.com and when they hit there brakes, sparks shot out of there wheels and off the brakes?

My friend just told me its because of ceramic brake pads at higher speeds but is this true?

Whats the cause?

ummm okay? I never saw a car in my life shoot sparks from the brakes....

and you say friction....so stock cars shoot sparks when the brakes create friction? I dont think so

ok well generally ceramic pads don't usually spark as much as metallic pads. and almost any car will do it under the right conditions. under heavy enough braking, it will create enough heat and friction to spark.
