lol wrinkle viola isnt a color, he was just sayin viola all you need is red wrinkle paint primer or adhisive promoter both work well and aircraft paint remover
then you use the paint remover all over it takeing off all the paint then use the primer or adhisive promoter then use the red wrinle paint and the more coats u use the more wrinkle it will have

I see flaming is alive and well. GOD forbid I do not know everything there is to know about a prelude or restoring it. I guess if I did I would not need this forum.

Ok, let me make sure I am getting this correctly.
The items I need are:
#1, red wrinkle paint
#2, primer or adhisive promoter
#3, aircraft paint remover
Let me know?

If I were you I would also invest in a new valve cover gasket and spark plug grommets. Some people recommend hondabond to help seal also.
I bought the seals awhile back and if I remember right it was about $16 total from the honda dealership, which BTW is the only place you should get those seals from.
I always thought that the OBX H22A valve covers were F20B replicas. Look at the front of the valve cover.

does anyone know how much hondabond is?
I heard that you are supposed to put it on the side where the timing belt is.
ONE MORE THING: Get the torque specs on the valve cover studs/nuts. I broke one barely giving it anything. It sucked, had to wait 2 days to get one and they are about $3 each. I think it is 7 ft/lbs but I am not sure.

OK, I know I sound like a SPED (not an invitation for flamming) but I just want to be sure before I move on. The pic I have attached is the color I am looking for. That is wrinkle red?
vht makes a wrinkle red you don't need an adhesive promoter for. just get some aircraft remover to pull the old paint off, blast clean, tape up anything you want still shiny, and paint. you may need a dremel to get into areas you missed with the tape or tomake them super shiny, but that's it.
VHT makes the wrinkle paint, and so does Duplicolor. I found red & black Duplicolor at my local Autozone, but I could only find the black VHT paint locally. They both do essentially the same thing, and the Duplicolor was only $4.99. if you order it online you end up paying more for shipping than you do for the actualk can of paint....
