Default bodykit question...modify?

i bought this bodykit on the internet and the front doesnt fit. my factory grille is 24 1/2in. and the body kit has a 27 3/4 in. grille. i think they are all this way because every one i have ever seen online has the hood modified or is a 99+ which has a 27 3/4 in grill. the name of the kit is blackwidow...i have also seen it called spider, hirev and revolution. i dont really wanna send it back to the company i bought it from because i think they are gonna sendthe same thing back and it is going to take forever.

send it back and get ur money back. u got the wrong kit. i'm assuming u have a 96-98 civic and got a 99-00 kit.

but if u really like the kit then instead of sending the thing back get the 99-00 headlights, hood and fenders.

Wow. Good info. I like my car to look good too, so I am also doing all the body work myself with my dad. Nothing outrageous, just some kinda minor stuff. If you don't have anything useful to post, then just don't do it at all. This isn't kills.

To the original poster, just be really careful that you get the right body kit from now on. Good luck.

i did contact the company. their customer service was terrible. i tried to get them to measure the one they were going to send me and they wouldnt. Buying things over the internet sometimes sucks. i sent it back today and they are gonna pick up the shipping but i am willing to bet they send the exact same thing back a month from now.

well if the one they send you doesnt fit either, just send back the front bumper and buy a new lip like off password or something, then paint it, it will look like you have a body kitted front bumper, and imo, the front will look good

body kits are fine when they are put on right, painted right...and if it is a show car. Its a stage every1 goes through. At one point I wanted a body kit on my del sol but im happy with as lip now.

Please do not speak for the rest of us, thanks.

I have never wanted any sort of body kit - EVER.

...for the record.

I didn't say the guy was an idiot for wanting a kit, so back off.

I simply stated that the guy I quoted can't speak for all of us by saying "we've all gone through that stage of wanting a bodykit."

well first and fore most thing is......... RICE ....second man bodykits these days are sooo stupid looking now!! hello who needs that HUGE air dam in the front when you don't even have an intercooler to fill it up!! Well you mine as well do the 99-00 conversion because by the time you ship it back and they ship it to you you'll spend that much money already. Thus you having to pay shipping BOTH ways! good luck on decision! By the way didn't mean to say what i did up there but OH WELL!! Go with a full lip kit! it looks nicer...look at my sig (the link) thats my car!! Sorry that was last summer, I have 16 rotas on there now, still needing to slam it though...
