tungsten point pictures?
For Mild steel/Stainless I always went with, 1.5-2 times the width of the Tungston so for example is its a 1/16th make the Point around 1/8th of a inch
For Alum I usually make the Point a little more blunt Seeing as how it is gonna get ball'd up anyways. Im sorry I dont have any pictures to provide but hopefully this helps out some.

I usually don't bother putting the little flat spot on the tip of it unless I'm doing x ray work. The reason is because when you fire up, the small tip will get hot and can break off pretty easily and go into the weld. Tungsten is EASILY seen in an x ray. It's like a white spot on a dark background. For most welding, I just make it sharp as I can.
I like the 2-2.5 times the diameter of the electrode rule.
Notice in the pictures how they show the lines on the tungsten going vertical, rather than around the tungsten. This will help the arc be more stable at lower amperages. It is ok to do some grinding the "bad way" and then finish it up the right way.
for Al lap and butt joints I just do a light chamfer , as it ***** up quick on a green tungsten - on t-joints, thin gauge, use a nice sharp point like you would with mild (to direct the arc where the plates intersect, instead of having it ride up the plate), but on a red tungsten (it'll ball in a couple of minutes - so you should use an orange tungsten iirc)
a good tip to have a nice straight grind is clamp your tungsten in a power drill (much like its a drill bit) then grind it vertically on the grinder. it takes a little more time but its worth it for identical tips EVERY time that are perfect cones!
